Hey everyone,

We've updated the Mega Charts for CPU coolers on the website! This is the first major update since we launched these pages in December of 2023. You can find the Mega Charts overhaul for CPU coolers here:

Here's one of the many new charts:

Changes

The Mega Charts page for CPU coolers now features our Intel 250W test bench that was mentioned in the prior Patreon update post from yesterday. That includes data from our Noctua NH-D15 G2 review, but preserves it on a permanent page (you can check this page any time for the latest cooler data, updated 2-4 times per year). The 250W test includes noise-normalized and full speed benchmarks.

We've also updated the 200W AMD test bench thermal data for noise-normalized and full speed testing.

In addition to this, the table of coolers tested and links to their reviews has been updated for quick reference. We have also converted a few more prior CPU cooler reviews to text/written format, such as the Peerless Assassin Mini: https://gamersnexus.net/coolers/tiny-beast-thermalright-peerless-assassin-mini-cooler-review-benchmarks

Finally, we added results for these coolers to the table:

  • Noctua NH-D15 G2 (standard)

  • Noctua NH-D15 G2 (LBC)

  • Noctua NH-D15 G2 (HBC)

  • Noctua NH-D15 2023 model

  • ID-Cooling Frozn A620

  • ID-Cooling Frozn A720

  • Cooler Master MA824 Stealth

  • Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Mini

  • Thermalright Frozen Prism 360

  • Arctic Freezer 36

If you're not familiar with our Mega Charts project, you can learn more in the announcement video here:

These charts are made to create a quick reference resource for all our latest testing so that you don't have to crawl videos when shopping for parts. As we've said previously, the site does not have any third-party ads -- it's mostly funded by Patreon and store purchases.

Our next Mega Charts update will be for CPU gaming and production data. We are currently working on packaging it all into something easy to reference. The biggest challenge there is just how many parts there are for each benchmark, making it difficult to read. We have ideas for that long-term, but for now, we'll probably just make massive charts (for web) and then break them into generation or other reasonable comparisons to be easier to reference. We'll make it clear which charts are comparable with each other.

Thanks!

Boy these are amazing! I am curious as to why there's almost none of the Asus ones, like the Ryujins. Is it the price?

As stupid as this sounds. I would enjoy seeing AMD and Intel Stock cooler tested in the same way, to show people why a non-stock cooler has its place.
