This page... was an absolute fucking nightmare. Holy shit. I don't even know how long I spent on it. 3 or 4 days. On THIS.


There's a few reasons for that I guess, the biggest one being that this page is boring. There's nothing interesting in the original one. It's just a filler page between two more interesting scenes. 

A second reason why this was such a nightmare was because I tried to keep a lot of the original page rather than redraw it all throughly, which I should have because there was so many fucking stuff wrong everywhere. It was like plugging a hole then another one immediately appears.


I couldn't salvage the upper half tho. For some reason the upper two panels are massive and there's no need for them to be so. It did have some advantage over what I rework it into, since Larsen's eyes looked down directly at Zee's ween on the panel below so that was more intuitive than the new stuff, but it's just so unecessary otherwise...

So it's redone completely, nothing left of the original. I also removed the "what now ? Oh" texts on the side of the panels cos it looked like filler, sounded way too casual and overall didn't need to be there at all.


The bottom half is where you can clearly see remnants of the old page. Not much to be said except that Larsen's blushing and the previous panel make his decision to invite Larsen's finger into his butthole next page seem more rash. Aside from that, the last panel that does a 180 is still there, it's still bad but since it's anchored in the next few pages I can't change it. Zee's right hand was tied to the butt, so were mine. I mean, they were tied to the panel being 180 rotation from the previous ones even tho that makes the scene less clear, not that my hands were tied to Larsen's butt.


Anyway, fuck this page. I'm going to try to draw the Yoga Shippun Roussel pic, which still hasn't even been started because I got no inspiration for it whatsoever. Also The plant and his baker won the popular vote, so yeah. More to do.

the cleanup for the top panels does make it a lot clearer what's going on.

Oh, those open safety pins! :-o I'm glad for the new version, not least because of the new panels on top. I have great difficulties understanding what I'm seeing when there is an extreme zoom, thus very small section and little details. Doesn't already the last but one panel (Larsen catching Zee's hand) do a 180 degree view shift? Anyhow, thanks for explaining that, I had a very close look at the pages before and the page after this one, even establishing which kind of earrings Larsen wears in which ear, and now I finally do see what's what and where. And thanks for loosing the tears ;-)

True, the 180 does happen one panel sooner than I said. It's bad all the same, you shouldn't have to check the hearings to understand that the angle changed. But oh well, I can live with imperfection if it means it gets done...
