As of Q3 2023, Tesla has officially surpassed their 2022 total, delivering 1,324,074 cars, compared to 1,313,851 the previous year.

Tesla has maintained their delivery target of 1.8M cars for the current year, projecting approximately 476,000 deliveries in Q4. Achieving this would establish a new record for quarterly deliveries.

They are short due to  planned downtimes for factory upgrades, as discussed on the most recent earnings call. The 2023 volume target of around 1.8 million vehicles remains unchanged.
