As expected - Apple cannot grow.... the shine is well off. Revenue is down 1% from 1 year ago. 

Here are the earnings results. 

  • Revenue: $81.8 billion, down 1% from a year ago.
  • Profit: $1.26 per share, above the Street at $1.19.
  • iPhone sales: $39.7 billion, down 2.4%.
  • Mac sales: $6.8 billion, above estimates of $6.6 billion, but down 7.3% from a year earlier.
  • iPad sales: $5.8 billion, well below consensus of $6.5 billion, and down 19.8% from a year earlier.
  • Wearables, home, and accessories: $8.3 billion, in line with estimates, and up 2.4% from a year ago.
  • Services: $21.2 billion, above the consensus estimate of $20.8 billion, and up 8.2% from a year ago.
  • Gross margin: 44.5%.
  • Net cash: $57 billion.

James really hates Apple 🍎! It’s a multi trillion dollar company. It’s going to ok. Earnings go up and down but Apple is still a strong company.

Love the products and it’s a good company but the buy back mentality rather than growth holds me off as well.
