Hi Team

My video today was by popular request but pls do not strive for a retirement goal with all your eggs in one basket.

SOL has a lot of upside but it also has way more risk than ETH and BTC.

In the last bull run my ETH 25xd ($200 avg cost to near $5K) in terms of price while my BTC went from 7.6xd (9K to 69K).  I do believe SOL if it survives will far outperform ETH this cycle. That is the gambit.

Hence currently I am 80% BTC, 15% ETH and 5% SOL.  I expect by late 2024 my ETH and SOL bags to be equivalent. But I could be wrong.

It is important to diversify one's investment portfolio across a range of assets in order to mitigate risk.

A prudent approach is to maintain a diverse basket of assets, as the pace of technological change is rapid and the future of certain industries, such as cryptocurrency, may be subject to disruptive forces that could alter the investment landscape. As such, investors should remain vigilant and remain adaptable in their investment strategies - i call this "keep your tap dancing shoes on at all times"

FINAL NOTE FOR CRYPTO - FUNDAMENTALS DO NOT MATTER AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE

Interesting what you say about fundamentals. If I've understood correctly, in the past you've said that ultimately the cream will rise to the top. You seem to be now saying things are different for Crypto assets?

Thanks Amigo, Happy Thursday 😁🌞❤️🎶

So suppose you would like 80% BTC and 20% "other" crypto, which for a more conservative investor might be ETH and/or SOL. BTC is the safest, while "other crypto" is intended to be a faster horse (and at least reasonably safe, i.e., cryptos with real value and use cases). If I understand correctly, SOL is currently the most undervalued among the 3, and SOL has more upside potential. Suppose one starts with only BTC (80%) and SOL (20%). Would it make sense to convert some of either (or both) to ETH, in order to get to an 80% BTC / 10% ETH / 10% SOL distribution? In this scenario, it seems like that would increase risk (by lowering amount of BTC) and/or lower potential returns (by lowering amount of SOL).

It's one reason I liked the "Retire on Crypto" more than retire on any specific asset (I know you got a lot of requests to update this one so I'm not pointing fingers). A basket of select assets (not garbage) is better than one.

In my own situation I try to add in from fiat where I can. But if your bags are big enough that repositioning makes sense then you could go that route. But you're right that SOL is the most undervalued. However it's the bigger risk. It's why I prefer to put fiat in over selling any of what I already have. Pair trading taking advantage of opportunities that way might be the best way to go if you have the skills (I'm still trying to develop them, myself).

Love this

Thanks for the retirement graphics, especially taking it year by year as I’m retiring well before 2032 and need the details for 2025/6.

What's the play. BTC @ 26,2 ??

I´d really like to see a retire on equities as part of a crypto-equities plan. We are expecting a chunk of cash soon and I think I am very heavy in crypto and way too light in stocks. We still have some RE.

Hi James, Thanks for the recent video and these allocation percentages. 'Hence currently I am 80% BTC, 15% ETH and 5% SOL. ' Do you use the 80/20 rule for portfolio allocation? How would you allocate percentages in a brand new crypto portfolio for btc/eth/sol? We can see your current percentage allocation but what methodology or initial portfolio percentage calculation would you use to assign the initial allocation? /GD

Would it be possible to make a video on Google as a stock please?

Didn't you have almost as much sol as you did eth?

Come to Jesus. "FUNDAMENTALS DO NOT MATTER AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE" That would of been nice last year.

Thank you for sharing your % ratios, mine are close, so it's a good check in for me that I'm on the right track.

Think he’s highlighted several times here that he’s swapped one for another and also recently he informed us in here that he sold his sol for tax harvesting but don’t think he bought back all but has been buying recently.
