Ethereum's staking rewards rate has increased to 8.6%, the highest since the Merge last year. This is due to a surge in on-chain gas fees driven by the recent memecoin frenzy. Validators earned $46 million in total income in the first week of May, a 40% increase over the previous week.

I always say I dont get out of bed for 6%, but this rate has me tempted to stake some ETH.

To participate in the network's consensus process, Ethereum validators are required to stake a minimum of 32 ETH, which is approximately $58,000. Currently, there are over 19 million ether staked on the network by 560,000 validator entities.

yes a discussion on staking including a "how to" would be appreciated. And remember your own self-care. You are appreciated.

Where is the best place to stake ETH?

Allnodes for full custodial node and Kiln with ledger is the way

You can also run your own validator using only 8 ETH and get even higher APY using rocketpool

i second this.. one on the Ledger would be awesome like the SOL one that was done

We should start a IA staking group! I’m sure we could all pool our eth and then stake it somewhere safe like IA!

I would love to spin up some validators but I just don't trust myself enough. I got a test validator up but I just felt like I didn't know what I was doing. When they dumb this down I imagine more will stake. I'm aware of the lido, rocket and hardware solutions but it's always trusting someone, compared to just doing it yourself, which is supposedly the gold standard as you hold your keys.

What about how too stake from ledger for Patreon validator/s for those that don't have 32 eth yet......and or maybe a video how to set up as a validator for those that do have 32 eth....(I would prefer to stake my eth to other members of this community before others. maybe a spreadsheet of members staking accounts so other can stake with members.

I still have my ETH on Coinbase. Just checked the rate which is only 5.99%.

@james - would love to hear an update on staking. Debating staking on native Eth, or RocketPool.

Glad I finally staked my ETH recently after withdrawals were enabled. Staking/interest is almost certainly not worth it on a centralized exchange unless you have information that makes you sure they’re more trustworthy than the rest, but on chain with ETH? I’ll take that risk

This is a clear signal the ETH top is in.

Consider Lido. Very easy, no minimum, can trade it quickly on a DEX to and from ETH, can also go directly to them to convert back if needed, and it’s easy too rather than go through unstaking or potential slashing!

Where can you stake ETH and have the ability to unstake as well? Binance is saying that unstaking is not possible at this time.

Yes please. I have enough ETH but have never liked into being a validator

Basically you need 8 ETH, and rocketpool will lend you 24 ETH, you start a validator that will take all the rewards on the 8ETH, and 14% of the rewards on the borrowed ETH. Check their website here rocketpool.net and join their discord, I started my first validator few weeks ago and they were very helpful on discord

What about US taxes?

NFA but can anyone recommend the "best & safest" way to stake ETH with a Trezor model T hardware wallet as opposed to a Ledger?
