It's Christmas and I think there might be another spaceship over London. Thank you Doctor Who show runners for this romp of an episode to help me process our rece t loss with laughter, adrenaline, and a touch of literal nightmare fuel.

Charity Konusser (the chonus)

Sarah Parish played the Racnoss Empress - she's a great actor who has worked with David Tennant multiple times (Blackpool, Recovery, Broadchurch, and other projects). She also worked with Billie Piper in the Much Ado About Nothing episode of Shakespare Re-Told. This is the first-ever mention/appearance of the Racnoss on Doctor Who. I never know whether to point out little bits that you might have caught but you were talking over them that are... maybe not "important" at the moment but are something you might have thought "what's that about". It's not a big deal in this one, but I think erring on the side of caution (not telling) is where I generally fall. And yes, many fans have incorporated the idea that Mary Poppins was a Time Lord into their headcanon 😃

Turns out you reached the end of Rose's time on the show just in time for the first teaser of Billie Piper's new movie Scoop. It doesn't show much, but we do get to see that at age 41 she still looks EXACTLY like Rose.
