I honestly don’t 100% know what to make of this, but I had a pretty good time watching it.

*I rented this on Vudu, but it is available on Max.

I was 25 when this hit theaters and it was all anyone who was into movies talked about for months, if not years. And the soundtrack allllllmost made the top 20 on Billboard's Top 200 (21), and it ended the year at #4 on Billboard's Soundtracks chart. So yeah, the music was a huge part of it. (Also revived John Travolta's career.)

I was 20 when this came out and I wasn't the type to see either violent or even scary movies as a teen by choice, so one was shocking to me. Plus, I have to admit, the structure through me off. I wasn't until I was older and learned a little bit about film before I could appreciate this one. I'm glad that I got the chance to experience the full length reaction with you! Usually, I only pay for the TV tier because every penny counts these days, but I have the movies as well this month because of Come From Away.

Glad you got to see this one too! The structure would have really thrown me for a loop if I hadn't seen so many modern films likely pulling from pulp fiction's playbook.
