This is my first Wes Anderson film and I gotta say, I liked it. A very photographic quality to the way he sets up his shots, and I found the storytelling to be very compelling-- but the music is what catapulted this film to greatness in my opinion.

Yay! What a fun reaction! And thank you so much for opening this up so that we could all see it! I certainly think Wes Anderson has other movies that I think you would really like. Definitely "The Royal Tenenbaums"! That's the one I'm most interested in seeing what you have to say about it! Great cast: Gene Hackman, Ben Stiller, Gwenyth Paltrow, Owen and Luke Wilson, Angelica Huston, Bill Murray.......etc etc! But there are others, as well. Sometimes his style is almost LOUD and overwhelms the movie, but when he hits the balance (like this movie, or Tenenbaums) he really gives us something special. I respect anyone who can carve out their own special niche! Invent their own style and universe. No small thing! Especially if it is entertaining as his best work can be! Thanks, Chris! PS: I forgot F. Murray Abraham was in "Grand Budapest Hotel", from Amadeus! Have you seen that? There's a movie I'd love to hear what you have to say about it! Never seen a bad reaction to that movie!
