Is anyone watching for the first time along with me? I know the description I want to put, but it's full of spoilers. 😅 What a great episode! I'll be honest, at the start I was worried this might be the first dud, but by the end I had completely turned around, and that was before the jaw dropping final moments.

It’s hard to fully appreciate what a great actress Lucy Lawless is until you see her out of character as a humble, giggly goofball who’s the furthest thing from roles like this or Xena. At the time, most fans had most recently seen her in an unrecognizable cameo in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man as a red-haired punk who says “Guy with eight arms? Sounds hot!” And with the final reveal, we’re now halfway through the twelve Cylon models, and still with plenty of opportunity for a devastating reveal of someone we know and love.

I always appreciated the part in the documentary start where the man that is mopping starts whistling the original Battlestar Galactica 1978 theme and then it gets picked up by the background music for a while. Since that music had also been used during the mini as the Colonial Anthem, it made the piece extra moving for me and really made the reveal at the end hit me extra hard. There are so may little moments in this episode that I love! Starbuck begging to be a suspect again, Kat's addiction, Baltar, the funny little man, and his attempt at attention... Don't worry, season 2 only has one lesser episode in my opinion. You might even decide that you like it, so I won't say anything more until the season ends.

She is great! I honestly didn’t recognize her. I never really watched Xena, but I still would have thought I’d recognize her.

One thing that can be hard to pick up on: She uses her real New Zealand accent for most of the episode, but then the D'Anna copy in the final scene has the American accent that Xena fans would be familiar with.
