I've been waiting so long for this and it didn't disappoint. Reunions, rebellion, and rebuke. This episode was a great lead up to what I am anticipating to be a powerful payoff next week.

Also I loved that they bothered to put in that little bit of business at the press conference where the mic wasn't working and Tigh and Adama were searching around for how get it to work ("Is this on?" "Try it now...")--they absolutely did not need to put that in, and for other shows it would be cut as wasting a precious ten seconds, but it makes it so much more realistic.

Yes! It defiinitely wasn't necessary, but this show always succeeds at creating atmosphere and that was key to illustrate how new this whole experience is for Adama and makes the payoff of things going off the rails so much richer.

One last comment - I forgot to share my favorite behind-the-scenes story (well, maybe not my favorite, but definitely up there) back in Season One. Do you read comments if they're made on older episode posts? I'm just gonna drop this here because I don't know. So, in Season One's "Hand of God"--the one in which Starbuck interrogates the Leoben model-- In the very tense scene where Starbuck and Roslin argue over whether Leoben should be put out the airlock, Mary McDonnell and Katee Sackhoff *could not get through filming without cracking up.* And it was one of the very first times they'd been together in a scene. I won't link you to the interview because it's full of spoilers, but here's how Mary McDonnell described it: "Katee and I were shooting one of our first scenes together and we almost got fired…because we literally could not stop laughing…It was horrifying," she said. And it wasn't a funny scene, they were supposed to be serious. "We were backstage crying because we couldn't stop laughing. We promised each other that we wouldn't laugh and we would laugh and laugh and it wasn't funny at all." Here's a clip from a reunion panel that is the two of them talking about this story - there are NO SPOILERS in this clip it is literally just one minute about that scene from Hand of God: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg43-UheJoA

Patreon is the ONE thing I leave e-mail notifications on, so I will likely see any comment you leave on any post. I love that story! That's actors early in a show's run-- afraid they'll get fired for laughing then season later they'll mess up takes on purpose 🤣 I'll resist clicking the link because I don't want to tell the youtube algorithm to give me more BSG. Just today randomly scrolling through shorts an Adama short popped up something about Pegasus, I CLICKED AWAY SO FAST. lol

totally understand not wanting to encourage the algorithm. Katee's talks about just trying desperately to make it through without losing it, and she turns to put her hand on the glass that's separating her from Leoben as they're about to put him out the airlock, and *that* actor was laughing at Katee and Mary laughing.... complete loss of control.
