It can be a dangerous thing to give someone authority. It can also be a dangerous thing to have secrets. Litmus brings a couple of important things to light and once again has me asking what exactly is the right choice here?

AAAAAH I LOVE getting these notifications - time to settle in with some snacks and my BSG Blu-Ray DVDs and Chris!

I'm the same! I also think, "It's Battlestar Galactica Day," when you release a new episode!. I sure wish that you had the bandwidth for two per week! Here's a little bit of trivia about my season 1 DVDs - they were the first set available in the US but they were made directly from the UK release. The interesting part is that when the show first aired on Sky, months before it aired in North America, the intro didn't have the drum part with the short previews. Oh, and it's not a bootleg, it was sold exclusively at one of the big box electronics stores and by mail order for a very short time period advertised officially during the North American release. That delayed North American airing made for some strong no spoiler rules in official forums at the time too! So many felt they they had already waited long enough to see if the show was going to be as good as the Mini-Series!

It's so wild that the show would air like that in the UK first. I agree, everyone waited long enough. RELEASE IT! Crazy. So lucky the folks who got the UK dvd first haha

Usually I'll have guac and chips if possible, but I also really love Triscuit with port-wine cheese on them. Oh and Sour Patch Kids if I'm feeling like candy.

BSG was *such* a cult hit in the U.S. - one of the mid-season premieres was shown in movie theaters. We all got to watch it together in movie theaters full of BSG fans on the big screen all over the country. We're coming up on the 20th anniversary of the miniseries airing this December, so it's such a great time to revisit the show, especially with a newbie!

Sky paid a lot for the program, so that was their deal. That's why it aired on Sci Fi (as it was called at the time) later. Thar only happened for season 1 though. After that, Sci Fi Fridays used to be awesome! Three all new heavy hitters - Battlestar, SG1, followed by Stargate Atlantis!

I would have loved to have seen a BSG mid-series premiere in a theater! You're so lucky! My claim to fame was getting to see the Firefly movie in the theater up in Portland at a test screening before the official release. One of the fans brought his guitar and we spent a bunch of time singing "The Hero of Canton" and the show theme song! We also got a special recorded message from Joss before the show.

Oddly enough the Serenity film was my introduction to Firefly. I thought it was ok. Years later I finally saw the show and the movie (which I vaguely remembered) HIT DIFFERENT.
