This month I thought I'd offer you a selection of films connected to ones I've watched before, sequels, prequels, alternate versions. Which of these would you like to see on the channel?

At first I was not sure what to vote for, then I realize I could scroll down a little farther to be thrilled A Perfect Murder is on this list, and horrified to see no one voted for it. LOL

Glad to seem Gremlins 2 getting no love. That movie was a merchandising sell out. More gremlins.. more dolls to sell. I had to go with Poltergiest 2. It felt like the perfect way to start spooky season.

Haha I didn’t even think about that when I put poltergeist 2 on the poll. Whew boy I’m especially glad of it wins that I set up my October schedule in such a way to add a some slightly less intense films in the middle to give me break from the spooktacular. 😅 I’m pretty hype for it.

All of your poll choices were pretty October friendly. Got my fingers crossed for Poltergeist 2

I love Gremlins 2! Tbf, very few toys were made from it (at the time). My understanding is that Joe Dante agreed to do it *only* if he had complete control to make a silly, insane, over-the-top comedy that parodies the first.
So it's a fireworks-hauling train wrecking on purpose. That's my jam! I totally understand why some folks don't dig it, tho.

Gremlins 1 and 2 are a weird one for me. These came out when I was in middle school and I loved them both. Loved them a lot. For some reason I fell out of love with the second one pretty fast. Recently fell out of love with the first one. I dont know why.. but I feel the same way about ET. I did recently watch gremlins 2 and noticed Robert Picardo… so it at least has that going for it. Love that guy… and he has hair in the movie lolol

Ha! Just watched InnerSpace for the first time since childhood and I was delighted that Picardo was in *that*!
I do hear ya...Gremlins 1 and most Spielberg-stuff has faded for me...it's sort of perfectly made fast-food, and I've grown away from fast food? I dunno. G2 is still fun for me, but it's just a meta Looney Tune.

I think you, Chris, would have a lotta fun watching it. It's silly and great! But it's no Casablanca.

Wyrm: if you haven't seen it, look up the Key & Peele sketch about Gremlins 2.
Chris: it's very spoiling, so best you don't.

Will do brother. And awesome Picardo is in InnerSpace. That’s a fun movie and haven’t seen it in forever as well

InnerSpace holds up well, it's not brilliant - BUT it's way weirder than I remembered which is a huge plus! Ironically watched it with a friend who is a massive Voyager fan...but she *couldn't* quite recognize Picardo - honestly it's (InnerSpace, I mean) my *fav* bit from him ever, ever for a few reasons. (He's a minor character, so don't get hopes too high.)

One of my favorite things is watching movies from the 80s and seeing who was an unknown back then. I recently watched The Adventures of Remo Williams… the female co star was Kate Mulgrew…. I was like WTF!!!

g g gooding

Stupid trivia: Mulgrew's wearing high heals throughout Voyager...'cause Tuvok and Chakotay and etc were *all* so much taller than she.

g g gooding

Her high heels are akin to Scotty's right hand. You know the trivia of why we (almost) *never* see James Doohan's right hand in Trek? (Sorry...I'm a old nerd and I get excited about minutia.)

On D-Day he parachuted in behind enemy lines. When he went to light a cigarette, a (Allied, ironically) sniper saw the flame and shot his finger off.
