This show is so nostalgic for me, I first saw it while flatting with 20 something friends. and not taking lifetoo seriously. It struck a chord with us, and we watched it religiously. (Also mandatory TV at the time was Buffy TVS and later Angel. By the way did you notice that the music stings in the intro while Brian was hanging photos in his darkroom were from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"?) I still lived in NZ when I saw this and did not get all of the UK cultural references. A couple of these are the refererence to Threshers, where Marsha was going to do her weekly shop. Threshers is a UK chain store specialising in wine and spirits. The music from the end of Daisy's phone call to her Mum is the closing music from 80s Australian show "Prisoner", which apparently was huge in the UK and US under the title "Prisoner: Cell Block H" (and even more amazingly was apparently remade as the show "Wentworth" from 2014 to 2021.) Wikipedia is my friend.

Buffy and Angel would be the only bit in there I concretely know! Haha this show (and all his movies) are so packed with references it’s incredible.

I’m not sure yet! I don’t know how it would perform and it’s editing I don’t quite have time for at the moment, we’ll I actually have more time after this week, but I want to finally watch boba fett. I kept all the files though! If I do it’ll likely be very abbreviated episodes with two releases— one series per video.
