Hi all, I just need some opinions before I decide to make these available! I was originally thinking to just have my commissions for advanced character rigs (like the ones posted recently) but I seem to have quite a few people asking avout VRChat compatibility. this is important, please read! if I only decide to make advanced character rigs available they are NOT VRChat ready! I would not be proud of myself having these models exported straight into VRChat as they are not optimised for that kind of thing and will signifigantly decrease performance.

so I am thinking of possibly making a lower poly asset library with less materials and lower quality textures for characters that are fit to the VRChat rig as a separate type of commission. If I gain significantly more interest in this then I will consider having that as an option.

I would vote the rig. A cloud based 3d rendering "subscription" might be more cost effective for smaller projects. AWS has options that might make more sence. If your not rendering/ building daily.

Hi, I am not very sure what you are referring to, these will be custom avatars made specifically to the clients needs

Guess I miss understood the poll. I thought you were working on 3d models (comix or her images.)

Computer rendering is high time so utilizing cloude compute over paying big bucks for hardware.

Makeing models is an. "In house" thing. Sorry for the confusion.

A cloud subscription wouldn’t make sense for me as I already have the capable hardware and 3d modeling doesn’t require as much power as you think unless you’re doing something like rendering photorealistic environments with ray tracing (I use evee)

I think the full-quality rigged model is a rarer and higher-end service. It feels like that should take priority - it'd be a shame to not see many of those as possible! Maybe offer lower-LoD and VRChat-optimized versions as an add-on service? Maybe if it's attractive enough selling point, partner or hire someone that already does game engine LoD models or VRChat conversions so you can focus on the full quality models?
