Hi all.

Some porters prefer to close their commissions when hitting a certain capacity of clients, then reopening when the list has become smaller. I choose not to do this, as people will be waiting the same amount of time regardless if my commissions are open or closed (either you will be waiting for your turn on a long list, or waiting for me to reopen my commission list - either way, you will be waiting).

However, I have begun to receive complaints that my commission wait time is too long. Currently due to the overwhelming number of commissions, the wait is around 2 months if you were to be added to my list today. So I would like to give you all the opportunity to change how I take commissions to fit your comfort.

Please note if closing my commissions becomes the winning vote, commissions will continue to operate on a 'first come first served' basis - This means that if my commissions re-open, and then becomes full again and has to close before you managed to get your slot, you will have to wait for them to reopen. However, if I continue to keep commissions open, you will always have your slot ensured as you will be added to my list as soon as a commission is agreed upon, much like it is now.

- would you prefer it if I kept my commissions open always as I do now, but you accept that there is a wait list
or
- close my commission list and re open when the wait is shorter

For the quality of your work, I would gladly wait six months or more if I needed to. There's simply nobody else as good as you. Not that I'm suggesting it's the case, but please do not let yourself be impacted negatively by a few disgruntled people. In essence, it's a testament to your great talent and a high demand for it that's fueling their ire ;-) I'm so grateful to have found you, and I hope you continue to do great work for a long time ahead!

As someone who doesn't always get a chance to check in, I love the idea that the commissions are open. Having to wait for absolute quality is not a problem. It's sad to think that there are people out there upset because of impatience!
