Patreon Payment Problems Notice (Patreon)

Hey everyone, 


This is a technical post (not related to the game itself, all info about the game build will follow tomorrow). 


Patreon has released this statement (attached in the photo) on twitter - it seems that they are having problems charging some of the patrons this month (which explain the sudden drop at the beginning on the month). We are very sorry about this. Most of you guys are ok! But.. if your payment didn't go through it's not because of you - it's because of this issue. Here is what patreon suggests doing, as far as we understand:

* First: Check if your payment went through. If it didn't:


1) Update your payment method with new card/PayPal

2) Call bank/payment method to conform it's a non-fraud charge

3) Maybe, try re-pledge or edit your pledge 1$ up or down (since we are charge up-front and payment have been processed in the past, it should, in theory work or at least give an indication on if the payment is going through.. we think) 


But most importantly - if your payment didn't go through as it should have, just contact us about it - we'll solve it together(!) and make sure everyone who needs to have access to the game build will have one, regardless of payment status. 


Again, we apologies for this and hope and trust that patreon will fix this issue soon, so.. try doing those things, let us know if there is a problem and we'll work through it together :).

my bank for the first time declined payment think it was fraudulent activity. it just took a call to the bank to let them know it is a recurring payment that i approved.

Yeah, I think that's what patreon meant - this seems to have happened all across the board, both SFW and NSFW pages. Thanks for taking care of it! :)

Lord of Misrule

Recently, I posted some images of drawings I did. I figure it would give people something to look at until the game is released tomorrow. I made some of the more explict drawings 'patreons only'. I only did that to avoid getting in trouble with some of the more explicit ones. However, in some cases, when I click on the image, it tells me that my payment didn't go through. I can see all the images on the '$5 patrons', and it tells me my current reward. So I wonder, how do I know whether my payment went through or not?

I saw the pictures and loved them :) - however, had to take them down because patreon does not allow NSFW images to be displayed publicly (I sent you a message about that) I just check and the payment didn't go through - try following the steps that I wrote.. maybe begin with changing the pledge 1$ up or down. You can also send me a message and I'll reply in private.

If people click on there icon in the upper right hand corner of there page then go down to there membership, go over and view billing history it will state complete if the payment was successful and failed if not or something of the sort.

If you call your bank and approve your payment to patreon then select retry payment afterwords it should go threw at least it did for me. i have my support to creators comes from 2 accounts one went threw just fine and the second failed.
