1. One of my weaknesses: drawing pokemon. I love drawing them. Making gryphons out of them? Heck yeah okay.

2. Do you remember Zech?? He hasn't been in the comic for quite a spell. But he's still hanging around, being surly. He likes Freakazoid, like every good red-blooded American millennial.

3. Despite all the wild gryphons I draw for these reader questions, the amount of unusual gryphon combinations actually in the comic is very small, so a deer-based uncommon gryphon would be really rare to see. And since most people don't even know what a peryton is, I doubt anyone would look at a deer-based uncommon gryphon and go "oh yeah, that's a gryphon."

4. Eastern and Western Dragons are about as closely related as Magpies and Australian Magpies (as in, not very closely related and only called that because Europeans saw them and went "that looks like a thing I've already seen before"). It's similar to how Qilin are sometimes called "unicorns" even though they're not related to unicorns even a little bit. If you ever see an Eastern Dragon walking around a western-styled Avalon, do not ask if they are related to western Dragons. They've heard it a million times before and are very tired of explaining that no, they are not the same.

5. Blank medallions are often the oldest medallions, and the magic in them is often very strong and maybe a little shaky when compared to newer medallions. As seen with poor Anthony's interaction with one.

Kory, what would a Pokémon peryton combining a Hisuian form Wyrdeer and a Hisuian form Braviary look like?

Zech is now my favorite. Sorry, I don't make the rules.
