2024 Reader Questions Week 4 (Patreon)

1. This gryphon is just a little creature. This gryphon lives in gardens and goes on little adventures in Middle Earth.

2. Most Avalons are small, like the Springfield Avalon, and aquatic Avalons are usually even smaller. There are a few to be found in very deep waters like abandoned quarries. Saltwater Avalons are even more of a mystery, since deep sea creatures are able to keep to themselves and avoid humans a lot easier than terrestrial species.

3. I started drawing everybody as dinosaurs but then I thought: why limit it to just dinosaurs??? Anyway Greg gets to be the Scientifically Cutest Dinosaur.

4. It's gotta be weird to have a syrinx. You can make two sounds at once. I wonder what that's like.

5. I don't think I've ever mentioned it (or did I even decide on it until now?) but Bloodcarver is a Welsh Red Dragon. He was originally Just A Dragon and I made him an iconic red color, but is there any red dragon more iconic than the Welsh dragon? Ddraig Wen's name literally means White Dragon in Welsh, which is funny since the white dragon symbolizes the English in Welsh mythology.
