Check out Discord for your rewards. Pollinated 13 :D I did a bunch of incremental new things for this one and I’m relatively happy on the outcome due to the process! One of the first few things I wanted to do was figure out new methods to become faster at certain processes of which I do things. For instance, I tried blocking values in so I can just easily work with a foundation rather than starting with detail but once I get into detail, I wrongfully engross myself into it for far too long sometimes. I asked the artist, Idlecum, for some advice on this notion since his output is quite incredible with a tremendous amount of quality in anatomy, character, perspective, and color, that I needed to know how he got to where he was. My questions were too broad to cover most grounds, however he provided examples of methods to how he got faster with providing the same results and it was simplifications of certain things rather than me trying to forcefully be “faster” doing the same task. I felt so stupid after realizing this but it was an awesome example given to me amongst many other beneficial advice!

With this, I tried doing things I was “uncomfortable” doing for either it felt “cheaty” or suspicion that it wouldn’t produce the same results. I tried less painting and more airbrushing colors to emulate blends without forcing dabs of color down. of course I didn’t stop painting completely, but tried other brush tools instead that I wouldn’t normally use often. This is getting quite long so I’ll just jot down most of the things I did relatively new. Blended the veins more when it’s towards viewers so it looked more melded with the body, used layer effects more often, used a more “confident” brush with higher density for the shape of liquids to pop out, used the Photoshop motion blur tool in order to help with the effect of energy than relying on whispy lines, applied more sheen on liquids with different colors bouncing off it so it doesn’t rely on just the white highlight, and tried varying the “heads” more in design!

Whoo boy that’s a lot to say and I don’t think I can go to detail on every notion of that, but that’s the gist of the new things I tried so I hope you like!.
