Nerd Going Outside

Okay, for those who haven't seen it I'm going to make my case for The Quick and the Dead: 1. Cast: THE Gene Hackman as the villain, plus Russell Crowe, Sharon Stone, a VERY young Leonardo DiCaprio, Gary Sinise, and more who you will definitely recognize. 2. Directed by Sam Raimi, who did the Toby McGuire spiderman movies but is perhaps most famous for the Evil Dead series. You know all the crazy shit he does with camera angles and zooms in The Evil Dead? Okay, now picture that but a pulpy Western. Listen I'm not going to sit here and say The Quick and the Dead is one of the best movies ever made - it isn't. But it is *fun*. It has *style*. It has a ton of talent. Don't pick this if you want an oscar winner. Pick it if you want to see a bunch of great actors having fun, Gene Hackman chewing up the scenery, and a fuckton of cool gunfights.
