your reaction is exactly how mine was. normally I find someone to root for. But none of them were likeable. Humor was entertaining, but I didnt vibe it. Didnt get the hype. Took several eps to settle in the tone. Thought be more like Billions. But once I realized it's being entertained by the trainwreck of this fucked up world; awful people doing awful shit for a crown, I started to enjoy it. If you put them all in medieval clothing it’s looks like people trying to get a throne.

The source material is basically the Murdochs (who own Fox among other things), they changed enough names, stories so they don't get sued to oblivion, but pretty much a lot of the most fked up stuff in the show is straight from the source. Which makes it hilarious and scary at the same time. It's like having your private camera turned on towards the 1% and getting a glimpse of their daily lives, combine this with great acting from an ensemble cast, a killer script with dialogues that are just as good as the ones in Justified, and you got a sick dark comedy. The humor is also multi layered and it has great character development, even without a favorite character to latch on to, you'll be a fan of this show just from the dialogues alone.

Hey Jimmy I'm so glad you're watching this show. I came back as a patron for it, cause I was waiting for The Americans. IMO this is the best written show on TV, about basically the 1% what they are really like. It doesn't glorify them/the wealth, and it is played almost as a black comedy/farce. I will say for me it took about until episode 6 until I was fully invested, but after that it became a Goat show for me. Also barely any one has reacted to it and the third season is about the premiere.
