PICK FOUR.

Sidenote: I've seen Sicario, Collateral, The Nice Guys, The Social Network, Drive, Whiplash, and was spoiled on the plot of Gone Girl (friend of mine ran down the plot and finish of the movie a few years ago),

I can't wait for you to see Hot Fuzz. It's one of my all-time favorite movies.

Light Yagami

Arrival and nightcrawler are two gems

Michael

I hope losers get chances on future polls, because Big Trouble and Master & Commander would be rad.

Ninaofthe90s

Omg you've never seen Gladiator !? 😲😲😲

Ninaofthe90s

Again...all of them are great. ❤❤

Reaction Junkie

This is a really solid list of movies!!!

A L

Nowhere near enough love for Lock, Stock

Robert Kruger

Some good ones to choose from, The Thing is a MUST see, but old school so a lot of people won't probably vote for it. District 9 is amazing, but wasn't seen by many people. Master & Commander and Gladiator are certainly epic movies, and you'll love them, but I would recommend Gladiator a bit after you're done with Spartacus so you're not comparing the two. Big Trouble is a cult classic and it's kinda good, but way over-rated IMO.

Hot Fuzz for the win!

Robert Kruger

Some day I'm going to get him to watch Heavy Metal!

PCG98

Hotfuzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Ted Cali

Weird to start the cornetto trilogy in the middle, but I’ll never be mad at a Hot Fuzz reaction. Please keep the lead, for the greater good. Never seen Big Trouble. Sonofabitch must pay.

Uhh, Master & Commander is criminally underrepresented here. I'm disappointed in all of you.

Dean Cyphers

woah this list is fucking HOT. holy shit these are going to be bangers

PCG98

Have you seen Shaun of the dead?

Robert Kruger

It appears that I am able to vote more than 4x. I hope that people aren't doing that.

Robert Kruger

He said that Gone Girl was spoiled for him. Pretty sure he said he's seen Se7en. If you liked Panic Room, I'd recommend Mute Witness. The Game is great, so is Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The Social Network was interesting, but not something watch a 2nd time or recommend to anyone. I'll have to check out Zodiac.

Robert Kruger

Big Trouble is one of those movies that you do need to see once, kinda like The Big Lebowski. Some people think it's amazing, but not me. (I'd say it's good-ish)

Myles

District 9 very underrated. Never seen a reaction from that movie. Would be a real treat

Ethan

District 9 is great, especially since I'm South African, but I gotta admit The Thing is by far the best film on this list (IMO) and I've seen everything here except for the first one. The Thing is not only a must-see classic, it's a straight up artistic masterpiece and a revolutionary film for the Horror genre.

Jamie Rees

Gladiator is a classic of high quality, worthy of all the accolades it won. It's not very accurate of Ancient Rome but it's story is excellent.

Jamie Rees

Lock,Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is the first geezers and guns film by Guy Ritchie and one of his best. It's a great romp to experience firsthand.

Jamie Rees

Hot Fuzz, The second of Edgar Wright's cornetto trilogy is hilarious, pastiche of cop films, action films with mystery and horror thrown in.

Jamie Rees

The 1982 film version of The Thing is a great horror film. One of John Carpenter's best, a suspenseful dome of Fear and Paranoia set in the white waste of the Artic Circle.

It'd have more votes if more viewers had seen it. It's up there with In Bruges.

Robert Kruger

I kinda wish there were a "vote down" option as well. Gladiator, as great as it is, should be held off until after you finish Spartacus IMO. I hope I'm not the only one with this opinion.

Drew

Why on earth does it have anything to do with Spartacus? Because they both take place in Rome?

Drew

If you can try to watch the Directors cut of Gladiator.

Agnieszka Pienczykowska

As far as Gone Girl...even if the plot has been spoiled for you the execution is really great. I think you would still really enjoy watching the movie.

Drew

So can you not watch Saving Private Ryan until you watch Band of Brothers in it's entirety? They're both about soldiers in WW2... I'm not trying to be an asshole I just genuinely dont get the logic.

Ninaofthe90s

to be honest I kinda agree with @Drew here. It's not the same story, or characters. It just a similar genre. I I don't see any problem with watching a show and a movie about gladiators at the same time. Two tv shows about gladiators would be weird but it's just a movie.
