I really like that you appreciate how sad the "main plot" of Gon finding his father actually is. A lot of people seem to brush it off as some typical adventure for a determined protagonist, but in reality it's just a kid who was abandoned by his dad who just wants to see him, and with the dad doing everything in his power to avoid him. It really is fucked up.

i definitely agree with your thoughts about ging i love his character but he’s a horrible dad he’s more of that cool uncle you look up to that you only see on holidays or something
