Not all witches are bad. Some don't exactly follow the Beincien teachings, though they will dabble in subversive magic from time to time. Though they prefer to be called 'Free Mages' or Freelance Sorceresses, they are little more than witches who desire profit over power and are often willing to skirt the rules to earn a little more kellings. These so called 'Grey Witches' are pain for the Librarium and Raven Knights both, as they blur the lines between what it means to be a 'witch'. Often, these spell casters protect themselves by being very friendly, open, and available to the inquisition of Raven's and Court Crows alike.  Often trading information and 'favors' for favorable treatment, which often works as long as their infractions are not too dire.
