That is a real bummer, Fran. All those well organized parts bins were transformed into one giant, unorganized parts bin. Ugh.

Bart de Boisblanc

Sorry the movers trashed your parts cabinets. I have several of larger 8 x 8 drawer type. Tipping over and or breaking one is a disaster.

Mike O'Dell

If you wanna have an “Entropy Reversal Party” to sort the bits I’d be happy to make a contribution to the pizza fund for such an effort.

Fran, be sure to save that broken parts bin! Tape or glue the plastic frame back together because you won';t find another one today with those crystal clear plastic drawers. You had an example of what you find today in that milky-white organizer you placed on the left. No matter where I look today, even on-line, I can only find organizers that use that awful translucent milky plastic. Same with parts organizers. I just thought if I looked hard enough, and was willing to pay more, I could get organizers and tray cabinets that were crystal clear. Not so. The best I can to is find "vintage" organizers on eBay that were made 20+ years ago. If I can't see the parts behind the plastic, it's not "transparent" as the sellers claim. I have no idea why the entire organizer industry switched to this new plastic that just plain sucks! Also, don't worry about the spillage right now. I've had that kind of thing happen to me before and I immediately felts is was beyond reasonable sorting. After the shock wore off, and I stared at the mess again after a few weeks, I actually found it relaxing to listen to some nice music and put the parts back. You actually re-educate yourself with your parts and find things you have forgotten about or things you would want to buy more of. All is not lost. The shock of the mess is very fresh. You just might find it relaxing after a period of time. You can easily make order out of chaos! Nothing is broken beyond repair. After this happened to me once, I actually stuffed each tray with kleenex to make sure parts had no ability bounce around loos in the trays. It worked! So, hopefully there is no other move, but if there is, stuff all the trays with kleenex.

This was probably one of the hardest videos to watch since ??? I've moved so many times I've sworn I'd just set fire to everything and walk. You don't want to know what it's like moving 18 aquariums. So sorry to see this but I think Matt (above poster) has the right idea.

Elliott Mule Deer

So sorry Fran, but you will find the time to sort it all out. Love your videos and enjoy knowing there's someone else out like like me!

Offering sympathies and stories doesn't help you, but I am very sorry this happened. We've all been there!

David Peaker

If I didn't live 3500 miles away I'd offer to come over, take the box away and sort it for you. Oh well!

Sorry Fran, you did not deserve this unfortunate incident. Sorting and reorganizing will take many a long winter's night for sure.

Dr Andy Hill

Oh Fran this is heartbreaking and I think I am right in thinking that because of your ASD this will be particularly bad for you to handle. I'm afraid that this proves to "Professional" movers just don't give a damn! I wish I could make it better but all I have is this virtual [Emergency Hug]

Circuitmike

When you picked up the two that were wrapped in cardboard and all the parts started spilling out the bottom, I swear, I almost cried. I've had my own parts organizers get shaken around during moves before and things migrated from one bin to another, but nothing like this. It hurts to see it.

Yeah , a lot of movers don't care what happens to your things and a lot of people have to deal with this kinda crap and its sad too 😔

Just sorry Fran.

Dibs - I’ll buy your Humpty Dumpty parts from your broken hearted parts bin. 💯
