Ok I have to admit this was not my favorite... I'm not exactly sure what it was about it, but it was still fun to see Bruce Willis in this kind of role. He was charming and funny and the most relatable person in this crazy world haha! It reminded me of the Disney original Xenon: Girl of the Galaxy haha. I know the absurdity and over the top-ness was a choice, I just didn't vibe with the humor as much! Don't hate me! <3

[Full Reaction] The Fifth Element (1997)

I reckon Cassie would have enjoyed Unbreakable more.

Richard Rolen

Some films are just "a ride". No deeper meaning than a roller coaster ride, but they are still kinda' fun. For me, that's The Fifth Element in a nutshell. I like it, but it's exceedingly odd and over the top. The only choice is just to grin and enjoy the ride! And I'm with Odd Thomas above... Bzzzzzz!

You should have been warned just a little bit to expect an action/adventure/comedy. With that going in, I think you could have appreciated the film more from the beginning

'Pappy' Johnston

One word.............."Multi-Pass!!!" LOL

You were wondering about are they serious... sry, not a serious line in the movie... this is for fun time.

I don't understand the obsession people who enjoy watching these reactions have with this movie. It's essentially a cult classic and very hit or miss that I don't see the majority of reactors actually enjoying it that much

If you were confused by Luc Besson's silly but straight forward storytelling then you're gonna have a hell of a time with Shamallamadingdong's attempts at subverting expectations and 'haha gotcha viewer!' endings that change the subtext of just about every scene previous to it and requires multiple re-watches or spoilers to understand. Cheers!

Martin Skouboe

Almost all reactors I've seen enjoyed this movie. No reason to believe this would be a miss.

Oh please! Cassie has every right to her opinion on this. I’m actually glad she finally saw it. Cause 25 years after this came out in theaters, I’m still confused as to what I saw back in 1997. To this day, I will never get everyone that loves this movie. But hey, To each their own. Can’t wait for the Unbreakable reaction.

Saw it in the cinema back in the day and once or twice on DVD long ago. I did remember it being all over the place tonally but I forgot it was this silly at times and how the music played into it. I definetly liked it more then than I do now, but there are parts of it that hold up remarkably well, like i.e. the costume design.

This is the most miserable comment thread perhaps on this page's existence. Jesus. Both sides of this argument have some serious, serious problems. It's just a movie, folks.
