Hey guys! Here is my reaction to Rush - my PPOTM! Man this was a great story! There really is something special about a sports movie I'm finding. I loved the storytelling of it, the juxtaposition of the two main characters and racing is freaking intense!! Hope you enjoy!

Excellent reaction.

I watched the full reaction and it was awesome.. My only point is that in the YT version the summation points in the movie, Jame Hunts death etc, isn't visible. You may want to read these aloud Cassie!!

I know you have had this request many times but a guaranteed Cassie sports movie is Brian's Song.

Yann Laliberté

This movie is so visually accurate to the footage we have. For instance when Hunt passes Lauda in a turn while behind some trees. It's exactly how it was shown on TV. They really went very far to as authentic as possible.

Jim Williams

I have to agree with Doug about Brian's song plus a nice tribute to James Caan

Lamar Smith

I must say, when the championship race saw rain, I was expecting a Cassie repeat line from all of her Jurassic Park reactions: “Have they learned nothing???!!!???”

As a life long F1 fan it was great to join along with you on this one. James and Nikki are legends of the sport, with James going on to become in commentary legend for the BBC. Nikki retired after a couple more championships and started an airline, he also co chaired the AMG Mercedes Petronas F1 team and coached Lewis Hamilton to 6 world championships before his untimely death due to lung complications from accident. Since his death in 2019 the Mercedes F1 cars have run a red star sticker on their cars in honour of Nikki! That Ron Howard can definitely direct a movie, he’s definitely on to good things. One to watch!

Also my 1st time seeing this thank you if not for your channel I may have missed it. It's funny how different it feels when I don't know the outcome and I am on the edge of my seat with you.

Late, but random fact, I had the rare privilege of hearing one of Niki Lauda's formula cars at Griots Garage in Tacoma Washington rev to the moon. And sorry but it was orgasmic.

Cassie since you have been liking sports movies you really need to check out “Miracle” with Kurt Russsell.

Rick Williams

I didn't know anything about this movie or story. I don't know much about racing. But, this was a good movie and story. Great reaction, Cassie. Thanks for introducing me to this movie. I would not have watched it on my own. Now you have me watching movies that I wouldn't normally watch. And I am enjoying it.

Stephen

After Ford vs Ferrari and this, I think at some point you should check out Senna, it's a documentary but really well done. Just something to consider for some point in the future.

Alexis

This might have been mentioned before but another great movie in the "racing true story" category is: The World's Fastest Indian with Anthony Hopkins.
