Howdy!

( I went to a Garth Brooks concert so I say howdy now;) )

Hope you are all having a fantastic week! I still am a tiny bit of a chicken with my head cut off but normalizing a bit over here.  Boxes are still being unpacked, currently can't find my "pants" box, so I have just been being fancy and wearing a dress everyday haha it's fine! Also I guess the most surprising thing about being a homeowner is I didn't realize I would go more times to Home Depot in the first week than I have been in my entire life combined. So I'm a Howdy do-dress wearing to Home Depot kind of girl now, who am I?

Ok as I'm still playing a bit of catch up, only two movies this week. Did anyone notice I skipped my May Popcorn pick of the month? I did. JK but really, I am excited about this one for obvious reasons.  Also doing Goodfellas-I'm not sure if I should be scared or excited about this one, but I think it.is.time.

Also make sure to go vote on the Sci Fi Summer Blockbuster.

I moved Once Upon a Time in Hollywood to next week along with The Patriot for the 4th (with Car Car) and/or Obi Wan 5 and 6 or Dr Strange 2, which should I watch first?

Ok love your faces, see you at the movies!

Top 5 Actors I think Cassie hasn't yet reacted to: 1) Cary Grant, 2) Michael Douglas, 3) Kurt Russell, 4) Dustin Hoffman, 5) Sidney Poitier. Actresses I'd go with 1) Audrey Hepburn, 2) Faye Dunaway, 3) Katherine Hepburn, 4) Ingrid Bergman, 5) Michelle Pfiefer.

Shawn Kildal

Both great choices. For me though, I think The American President has real chance of becoming an all-time favorite for Cassie. Plus, Fatal Attraction would be a great movie to react to considering all the high drama and suspense. She'd probably also really enjoy Romancing The Stone. She has also talked about The Ghost and The Darkness before but that was some time ago.

The greatest of all time, John Williams, did the score on Sabrina btw.

Mike McLaughlin

Cary Grant - Penny Serenade or Father Goose, Michael Douglas -Basic Instinct or Falling Down, Kurt Russell - Miracle or Tombstone, Dustin Hoffman - All The President's Men or Tootsie, Sidney Poitier - Lilies Of The Field or Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. Audrey Hepburn - My Fair Lady or Sabrina, Faye Dunaway - Mommie Dearest or Bonny & Clyde, Kathrine Hepburn - African Queen or The Philadelphia Story, Ingrid Bergman - Gaslight or Notorious, Michelle Pfeiffer - leave off the list, add Barbra Streisand - A Star Is Born (1976) or Funny Girl.

Jason Chirevas

Adding to the essential Cary Grant: North by Northwest Notorious Suspicion Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House Arsenic and Old Lace Charade

David Patterson

So, the next logical movie to react to is that great Mob/Western 'The Goodfellas, the Badfellas, and the Uglyfellas' (202- Hey, someone should make this!).

Ross Cicero

FINALLY GOODFELLAS!!!! Now all you have to do is watch The Godfather and I can die a happy man.

Cole Jennett

Just rereading the introduction. Wasn’t Scent of a Woman the popcorn pick for May? It was just very early in the month and feels like forever ago, but you did have a May pick.

zynjams

Blech , I will pass on goodfellas

G

Sabrina (1995) is a very good remake, and I like it better than the original. The CO thing in the original made me think, "what?" "huh?" "why?" You're already on the 2nd floor. Just jump or get a rope. It's a good classic movie regardless.

G

I have a terrible feeling about Cassie reacting to GoodFellas. It's a great film, but I think what made it great will make Cassie hate it.

G

So you think Cassie will like GoodFellas?

Matt Chris

Whats with all those Harrison Ford movies? its not like he made more than a handful outstanding movies, regardless how much Cassie is fan girling Harrison Ford

Tyler Foster

The Jack Ryan Ford movies were because she pulled them out of a pillowcase, and Sabrina is her personal pick of the month.

Ben Livingstone

I haven't seen her hate too many movies. I think she'll find it interesting, or at the very least, be glad she saw it.

Cant wait to see Goodfellas reactions

Shehab Dawoud

I agree, but I prefer HF movies to that mediocre Kevin Costner, so that's always something that we haven't seen him for a while.

Celeste McAllister

Bottom line is this is Cassie's channel i joined to be supportive,OK so she's crushing on HF she does take into account what films to react to that are going to get views when it comes to popcorn pics, she's running a business. :)

"It's not like he made more than a handful of outstanding movies." I reject this foundational assumption out of hand.

Jay

I've no issue with Harrison Ford, but I'd rather the channel wasn't as dependant on franchises and sequels. I'm guessing it'll be a while before we watch a show that's unrelated to Marvel or Star Wars:(

Jim Williams

You love both. Sabrina is a remake of a 1954 movie that stars Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn. However, the Harrison Ford version is much better. Also, another remake the Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan is one the most under-rated Con/caper movie is well worth your time.

Joe

She has like 2400+ patreons, so I guess she's doing something right (haha). Sabrina might not get posted to YT cause view count would probably be low IMO. Cheers.

G

@Jason Chirevas I highly doubt it.

Stick Figure Studios

I agree, Michael. The remake is good and, I daresay, even has a better Thomas Crown (Brosnan is more convincing as a classy rich man than McQueen is; Connery, who was offered the role originally, would've been better), but the original ending had more poignancy. The remake's ending was stupid.

Jim Williams

For three years I had an office in Paris. You must sometime go you would love it! Okay, the bridge in the final scene is one of 37 - the name is Pont des Arts or the Walking Bridge and my wife loves it. You can go to Paris on a budget and still have fun!

Jim Williams

Guys there is no doubt that the Steve McQueen edition of Thomas Crown Affair is a fine picture. My only point is the Bosnan one is a bit more current and a bit my stylish. I am not disrespecting the McQueen version, just like the new one a bit more. But the fun of watching these with Cassie is those of us who love movies can talk about them. Have a great day and see you all back here soon.

Art of Free Speech

Yep, just add another who prefers the Brosnan TCA over the McQueen, though there's nothing wrong with the McQueen version. The remake kept up with modern technology a bit more, so is more watchable to millennials like Cassie.

You honestly can't understand why someone would rather quietly fall asleep and die over violently killing themselves?

G

My comment about whether she should jump or get a rope is just a joke. Cause I found it silly that she would do that on the eve of her trip to Paris. That's why I like the 1995 remake better. I think it has a better screenplay. 6-8 cars running at the same time is too loud. That's why her attempt failed - That's also a joke.
