Wednesday WIPs: 12/6 (Patreon)

HOWDY!

Things are a little slow at the moment since we're waiting for the polls to finish up. I'm also taking my time with the last commission since it's kind of big and this month is odd since my usual workflow is going to be interrupted with holiday stuff. That and I'm still getting used to my  new part-time gig.

About that... I'm still trying to figure out how my schedule is working with that. Since it is part-time I'm locked into 20 hrs a week maximum, so it doesn't take up all of my time, but it's going to take away from my usual time for working on art. It's also the end of the year and this institution isn't busy until January, so I know I'll get a lot more busy then. So things are going to be a little chaotic until I get a hang of all that.

I'm probably going to pair down how intricate some of the rewards will be.  Mostly the monthly illustration. Usually I do several drawings/compositions, have patrons vote on their favorite and then have the others as alternates that are also cleaned up. I still want to do alternate images for Hunk tier since I stopped doing timelapses, but the alt images won't be completely different images. I'm going to try having it be the same image/composition but with little changes. Sort of like how there's an explicit version, but there would be an alternate outfit or expression or something like that.

Those of you in Hunk tier, let me know what you think about that option because the last couple of months I got really behind trying to get all these versions done on time and I feel like the quality of the whole suffers for it. With all the sketches, I'm trying to stick to two hours maximum. (sometimes I get caught in what I'm doing/get bored and start experimenting and take too much time on them)

This month I'm going to take some time to update the page to go with all the changes that patreon did. I'm going to get all the collections set up and go through the old tags and try to make things easier to navigate.

I know there are some artists that just draw whatever without patron input, but I think half the fun of being a patron is the interaction with the artist and getting a say in what I make. At the end of the day I'm still a very shy person (with a lot of memory and time issues due to my ADHD) who doesn't talk much, but I want to try to make this a fun place to visit. I know a lot of people are here for very specific reasons, but I still want y'all to enjoy yourselves and I'll try to interact with y'all as much as I can. If you ever don't hear from me or get a very curt response, I'm either being incredibly forgetful or I'm off my meds.

COMMISSIONS

Like I said, I'm taking this one a little slower, but I love the attitude of these two. I'm not sure when I'm going to open comms again, at least until I get a handle on my schedule. That and I do want to get back into doing comics like I've mentioned in the past. I love doing them and people really respond to them. It just sucks that they take so long to make.

I had an urge to draw the Overwatch girls I like.

That and I'm slowly painting these two Ada and Claire drawings from a while ago.
