Hope you find it useful and sorry if something is not clear, I try my best when I write in english but it's still difficult to me express myself properly.

Very informative and interesting! Thank you for taking the time to make this.

Awesome tutorial :) Thank you! One thing I would like to ask is, how do you handle more intricate patterns, like spots on a snow leapard, while painting the light directly onto the form?

Neel

This was wonderful and incredibly informative! I'm always looking for new things to try and have always wanted to develop a painting style without lines. It's always seemed so tedious or impossible but I think I need to keep trying.

First I would paint all the main areas, and then add the spots one by one, selecting the colors according the the illumination of every area.

It takes work and practice, but at some point it gives you an incredible sensation of freedom to be not limited to lines.

This is great, thank you so much! I've always wondered how you get so much texture in your work. I don't have the brush used but I'll attempt it using a flat brush in clip studio

I loved this! How did you choose what colors to start painting on the light with? Where they eyeballed in or did you use a layer mode?

anhes

Well, in my case is more intuition, but you can use a picture of the real animal to have an idea of what color to use.

Asher Tail

May I ask where you got those textures for your painting brush? Thank you!

anhes

They come with the basic SAI 2. YOu just need to select the features.
