Mr Music Addict

My interpretation after Hange died is this ladies: Hange isn't in the afterlife with Erwin and the other scouts but still earthbound as they're all ghosts with unfinished business: Making sure the soldiers that come after give their own hearts for the cause. And now the spirits of Erwin and the fallen soldiers, including Hange, will stay until their unfinished business is completed and then move on to the real afterlife. Can't wait to see the reaction to the incredible finale ladies let's go! 🙂

Super important point about Eren's motivations was revealed in the beginning but a lot of people miss it on the first watch (understandably cause the rumbling scenes catch everyone's attention): "To save Eldia, the island... but that's not all... When I learned that humanity existed outside the walls, I was so disappointed. I wanted this, I wanted to wipe it all away." Back in season 1 he described the first time he understood that he wasn't truly free was after Armin showed him the book about the outside world, the free open land and sights to explore beyond the walls that caged them. He always thought once he left the walls he would feel the freedom he yearned for. He was utterly disappointed to know that it was the same as within the walls, same old people, same old conflict, and that's why in my opinion the MAIN reason he decided to destroy everything beyond the walls was so he could make it what he dreamed the outside world would be when he was a child, further giving context to the infamous "Freedom" scene, with young Eren with his arms spread above the clouds (titan steam?). Contrary to what many "Jeagerists" believe, there are many ways to solve the conflict without destroying everything, like Magy was suggesting. But the ONLY way for Eren to achieve HIS idea of freedom was to do this, even more so that saving his friends. It is insanely selfish, but it's a fascinating thing about Eren and one of the many aspects that make him my favorite character in fiction!
