In today's Archives post, we continue the trend of posting drawings which have had several outfit variations, today's post being Mona from Genshin Impact, wearing a cheerleader outfit!

The base drawing of this Mona is one of my favorite ever, so it's one that I've reposted many times over. You've probably seen her multiple times before. However, I've only very rarely shared her Cheerleader outfit, so for anyone who hasn't been a longtime Patron, this may be new content for you!

For other variations of this drawing that have come to the Archives in the past, here she is in a Maid Outfit, a Swimsuit, a Bunny Suit, and her Canon Genshin Outfit.

ARTIST NOTES

As you can probably guess, this piece (like 95% of the rest of the art I've drawn) was a commission, which is how we landed on the fairly random idea of Mona in a cheerleading suit. But hey, we love cheerleading outfits, so I'm not complaining!

The main course, of course, was Mona wearing her Genshin outfit, so this was a secondary variation. But I quite like it!

I like to have a sense of texture and tangibility when I render clothing, and I'm drawn to the stylized "weight" that clothing appears to have in 3D modeled artwork, so I try to evoke that in a lot of pieces and I think I did so successfully here. Her skirt was a certain thickness to it, and I quite like the little panty peak that's visible.

The one part of this drawing that I don't care for is her pom-pom, which is kind of a shame since that's such an essential aspect of a cheerleading outfit. I should have spent a bit more time and found better references for it, because it kind of sticks out here. Ah well.
