So, this is pretty cool!

I've just learned that Google Translate has integrated a new feature that will allow you to upload comic pages and have them translated into various languages!

To get started, all you have to do is:

1. Visit Google Translate.

2. Choose the "Images" option at the top and select your desired comic page. (They have a PDF option under "Documents," but it's limited to 10 MB, so if you want to use that option, you'll need to reduce the PDF size/quality.)

3. Select the source language (in our case, English) and your desired target language.

4. Sit back and watch the magic happen.

Above is an example of the output from translating the page into Spanish. A native speaker told me Google Translate did a very good job.

This should work with captions, too!

I know there are readers from all over the world, so hopefully, this feature will make it easier for everyone to enjoy the content no matter where they're from or what language they speak. 😊

Oh cool! I figured it was only a matter of time before this became widely available with all of the recent improvements in AI generated/automated systems. Thanks for making me aware of this.

Doesn't work!!!!!!

Its a great idea, but this does not work!!!

Try to load single image as image file... it worked for me that way on mobile...

It's working for me! Are you uploading the individual images? It won't work with the PDFs because they're too big. You can "Save As..." the images to your desktop and upload from there. 😊

It does work and quite well! at least compared to the only other site (at least that I knew of) that did the same thing (Yandex). You can only do it 1 (jpg, jpeg or png) at a time, but although it's a bit cumbersome it does the job quite well. It also translates almost all fonts. With Yandex for example TGTrinity comics was not able to recognize the fonts and did not translate them, with Google translate it translates them without problem. Try deepl.com. It's way more accurate
