Against the town's grave warnings, you decide to wander into the forest unknown. At first, you hear the sound of rustling leaves that you dismiss as active wildlife, but soon you get the unmistakable feeling that there are eyes on you. Tracked carefully. Hunted. By the time you realize what's happening, it's already too late to get out. The haze that blanketed the forest was making it almost impossible to tell where anything was. All you could do was run.

I really like writing scenes with bits of fantasy elements sprinkled in here and there. Plus, the back and forth tension is fun to think about as the story goes along. The details of the listener are intentionally kind of vague here. How much do they really know, or are they really just ordinary?

The werewolf is kind of mean, isn't he? But I imagine not all of them can be friendly (at first?)
