Our Origin AU part 2 ! Continuing on with the story with Mewtwo still young and in lab. Things are still going fantastic in their growth as a successful clone. Everyday is an improvement with their psychic abilities and cognition. Dr Fuji and Mewtwo continue to grow closer. And then -...

Dr Fuji rethinks his ethics. He wants to so badly get his daughter back that he was going to throw an actual baby under to do it. Young Mewtwo had essentially become a son to him in their time together and he couldn't throw one child for another. 

It's a hard decision to make. It meant fighting against Rocket leader Giovanni's wishes for the perfect Pokemon. With all that funding and research and promising results it's not like he can get away with just saying 'no' or walking out. Ambertwo at this stage is still more or less essence still. If he were to attempt to step away they'd pull the plug on both her and Mewtwo.

With no other choice he decides to take as much research with him as possible and run with young Mewtwo and Ambertwo in tow. From here on out they're hiding from Rocket and still trying to find a way to keep Ambertwo alive without all the money and lab equipment to do it.
