What's up, homies! Many of you have been patiently waiting for this day to come, and it is finally here. We are starting The Boys! Since none of us have previously seen this show, we're going back and starting all the way with Season 1. We're excited to finally experience what this series is all about.

Buckle up, moji chlapci...you're all in for a helluva ride! Much like Invincible, The Boys comics run and the Amazon series have a healthy dose of cross-pollination, but they also exist perfectly as separate entities. The comics are, if you can imagine, even more extreme - and I mean in every conceivable way. Very highly recommended reading if you're in the mood for depravity, brutality, and the darkest gallows humor you may ever experience. And I say that in a good way. 😎

So. I think I watched at least part of the first episode forever ago. I’ve seen recaps of the show and I always planned to watch it. I watched it with my husband (for support for the scary parts) this weekend and it was WAY too much for me. Like the ending with Homelander? I mean, did I clutch my pearls or something? I walked away HORRIFIED and decided to not watch it but, you know, it’s easier to watch with reactors!

They had a cool interactive experience of the "Radio Shack" that Huey worked in after that Translucent fight outside of Comic-Con, where you helped search for evidence and clues. It just hit me that the guy who was running it looked a lot like a character that will be revealed later. I have read some of the comics and they came off as mean spirited and there was hardly anyone with any redeemable qualities on either side of the fight. Maybe if I went further into the series I may have changed my mind, but I was very happy with the show right off the bat so I passed on it.

I will say I think the show tells this story far better than the comics. I didn't enjoy the comic, but do think the show is a fun ride. You can give them a read and form your own opinions, but that's my stance on it.

I'm so glad you guys are reacting to this! Hector pointed out that Colby Minifie (Ashley, the assistant character) was in Jessica Jones and I just wanted to say that Erin Moriarty (Starlight) was also in Jessica Jones! She played Hope in season 1 :)

Honestly knowing your taste in comic books, the books are an absolute miss. The show differs from the books drastically and it's a widely held belief that it is for the better in almost every way. So there's nothing you're really missing out on from not knowing the comics since the show is already doing it's own thing. The comic book is pretty much just pure shock value and cynicism, clearly bitter towards the very idea of superheroes. The show, even in its darkest moments, never feels cynical.

He did a skit in Auntie Donna's Netflix series where he played a kidnapped man they treat like a dog. It sounds bleak but was actually hilarious. And it's kind of a subtle jab to have a Kiwi actor play a dog with Australian owners, lol.

i never would have watched this show without you guys. i kept coming across it on amazon and hearing about it. it reminds me a bit of mystery men , just with the one superhero Captain amazing, whose just in it for the money. Robins death was shocking. i was not expecting that. loved watching along with you guys..... thanks homies.

HECTOR SAID THE THING!! I was not expecting THAT from this watch along 🤣 it’s one of my favourite Butcher quotes and what got me to watch this series. This show is just a complete roller coaster from start to finish and I’m buckled up! Adam’s reaction to the super club moment was just *chef kiss* hahaha
