That was really good! The actor playing Kamala Kahn is great. Really endearing personality. I am really enjoying the stylized direction. It's nice to see something really well planned out and executed. Feels very tight.

The cringy ask Mom moments and the big-little Hulk thing I was dying. I love the multi-media feel of this. All the extras embedded in the content really emphasize the feels. Iman Vellani is amazing. Props to the art set, costumes and animation groups backing this. Also the music so awesome. Sure hoping we get a Carol Danvers cameo.

That last conversation with her mother, where she asks Kamala, “Do you want to be good, like we raised you to be”, that hurts a lot. I know her mother has good intentions and isn’t trying to be mean but those are the sorts of things that people connect with. We’ve all been in a similar situation and it’s not about being good or bad. It’s about living your truth

Loved watching this with you guys. The opening set the tone of the show. The visuals were creative and unique - something I haven't seen in the MCU before. I agree with Augustin about how everyone has experienced some version of her plight making it very relatable. Also, I second Hector on MCU yet again making a brilliant casting in Iman Vellani - she captures Kamala's starry-eyed demeanor amazingly well. It was real fun watching this with you guys. Waiting eagerly for ep 2.

I loved the style of the zhow; it proves that Feige learned from what worked with Into The Spider-verse. My issue with the show is that it hit too close to home for how my HS days went as a kid in small town Georgia that was a comics fan. The embarrassing situations and the angst were so very real... And I can't even imagine how much tougher it might be for a female with restrictive parents.
