720 The Ephemeral Spirits Cult (Patreon)

Denizens of the Tower! In The Ephemeral Spirits Cult, a group of brave characters are hired to rescue the daughter of a wealthy merchant. The grieving man mentions that his missing daughter had unsavory individuals for friends. He blames them for her disappearance. Meanwhile, the city's bailiff also investigates a series of disappearances connected to a devious organization that operates from the sewers. He offers the characters a map of the place and a reward.

In this level-3 Shadowdark adventure, the heroes delve into a strange dungeon under the city that has been repurposed by the modern cult. Its original purpose is shrouded in mystery. The cult's High Priest burns rare pink orchids to intoxicate abducted individuals and turn them into zealous cultists. When the characters confront this man, they too must resist the potent effect of the pink orchid smoke. If anyone falls prey to it, things might turn deadly for the party.

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
