654 Val's Underground Gardens - Level 3 Shadowdark Dungeon (Patreon)

In Val's Underground Gardens, the heroes on-the-rise hear of a reclusive botanist that provides mighty herbal cures and has a knack for strange plant-like lifeforms. Val, the botanist, created a device that empowers her underground gardens. However, energy source of this apparatus is morally bankrupt at best...

The characters explore Val's underground compound and find it to be a crawling nest of strange creatures, enlarged animals, and deadly traps. They soon discover that Val is currently occupied trying to soothe or appease her grandest creation: a melange plant-life abomination that refuses to submit to her commands.

This is a low-level Shadowdark adventure that has the heroes explore an underground dungeon-like compound, pits them against new and strange challenges, and gives the opportunity to save the local community from a monster.

This adventure has been designed for Shadowdark RPG through their 3rd party license. The system is meant to be accessible to OSR players and modern players alike. Adapting the material to 5e or other systems should not be difficult.
