Shadowdark RPG and the immediate future! (Patreon)

Hi there, Denizens of the Tower, followers, and dungeoncrawlers. In January, after there were doubts over what would happen with D&D 5e's Open Game License, we decided to not endorse 5e anymore and switch to an in-house developed system. For two months we released our adventures under this not-yet-existent system and that is that. However, it seems that splitting our time illustrating, writing, and then developing a whole system is going to take us YEARS of hard work and those rules well may change in the meantime. So we've decided to drop that... Not dropped entirely as I will keep developing my in-house game but it's going to take a ton of time and playtesting. A labor of love for my leisure time.
What system now?
I seriously considered going straight back to 5e because it's the largest game but I didn't feel that hyped about it after all that happened. So we have decided that our future publications and Dungeon Vault Magazine will feature the Shadowdark RPG system. It is currently featured on Kickstarter and you can still back it now. And you can immediately download the Quickstart Rules set which features everything you need to run adventures for levels 1-3. These are the levels we'll be writing adventures for at least a month or two while the core book is released.
Shadowdark RPG is designed to be a combination of old-school and new-school ideas and since that is what I wanted to do with my own unfinished creation it seemed like the ideal choice at this moment when we are looking for solid ground to create our adventures and cartography on. Expect this month's creations to be compatible with Shadowdark RPG from the go!
We are not endorsed by Shadowdark RPG in any manner. All is done through their 3rd party license which we've found to be adequate for our publishing purposes.
