"So will this be a story about an idol?" I don't know what it is going to be about, but I think rather it is a story about self-fulfillment. becoming an idol or a illustrator is just the manifestation of it, but really it seems to have a deeper meaning: believe in your dreams and pursue them, even if you are not sure if you can make it. You will only know if you try. Edit: I also just realize that they are juxtaposing Nonoka and Yoru/Mahiru, they even used the angel vs devil concept and had them dress up as their respective manifestation. Nonoka is the "devil", she doesn't care what other think and rejects society, pursuing her desires at any cost. Mahiru on the other hand is the "angel" who sacrifices herself for the greater good of society and others, she puts herself down and rejects her own desires in favor of fitting in with society. Neither are doing the right things, since the optimum is to be somewhere in between the devil and the angel. In this series I think they will both learn from each other to be less extreme and meet up in the middle where they can find both self-fulfillment in the pursuit of their desires, while also becoming part of society and fitting in well enough, without sacrificing their own individuality too much. From a philosophical and artistic perspective, the narrative is really good, but lets see if they can execute it properly. Also, it might be a bit too deep and subtle for most people to notice. Most don't think in these kinds of terms, they just see what is, not what could be behind it (which is probably a good thing most of the time).

Now I am curious as to why Stefy knows so much about ancient history. I had no idea Cleopatra was Macedonian! Are you hiding an abandoned dream of becoming an historian or something? Maybe this anime will help you believe in your dreams again! XD
