It's been forever since I've seen the original, but I recall loving it. I'm extremely excited for this!

I love the story. When I saw the first season, I got all the LN digital volume available at that time and when the new volume came out I got them too. I even watch played the video game. The video game was further in time than the both seasons of the anime. Love the intro before the opening. I can’t say more because it’s in spoiler territory although they gave enough hints to figure it out. The video game is base on the following story call Wolf and Parchment. It’s the one they did as a video game.

The music is good, but the original anime music was a huge classic. Nothing is much better than the original music. I’ve seen hundreds of anime series and almost nothing beat the “Spice and Wolf” original music. You got to check it out.

I believe the initial interactions before the opening is a intended tie to Wolf ad Parchment aka the story continuation of Spice and Wolf.

I agree specially if you see the dub of the original. By the way the original dub is one of the best dub I’ve ever seen. The voice of Holo is played by a much older and British voice actores that does a awesome old English sound.
