We speak their language, name our children after them, belief in their imposed religions, wear their clothing and even lust after them. All this maybe seen as surface levels but until we claim what is ours, we will never fully be decolonized. Perfect example is Angola. They know their tribes and history but still chose to speak Portuguese and name their children after the same men whom they fought to gain independence from. Make that make sense. Cultural power is another form of colonization.
