Hey everyone,

For this month's Third Map, we're going to 'Lucky Dip' from your suggestions.

We want you to suggest a fantasy map that would work as a single level map, inspired by the word:

A large ballroom, immaculate in its decor. Small, well-adorned tables run the length of the room where guests can converse and enjoy a beverage as they take a break from dancing in the middle. At the far end, a pair of thrones where the Lord and Lady watch the festivities and greet their guests. Flanking the outside of the ballroom are hallways that connect to a series of guest rooms. At the far end of the hallways is a room that sits behind the thrones of the ballroom. It is the kitchen, where the food and drink is prepared for the nobles. Where will vengeance come from? The well-dressed guests whispering in the ballroom? The servants conspiring in the bedrooms? Or a drop of poison from the kitchen?

A gladiators’ arena, but damaged. There’s been a revolution – or at least a revolt – and now the bloodsports the aristocracy so relished have been turned against them, and they are forced to fight each other, and other monsters. The oval arena is lined with chambers where prisoners are kept before their appearances. Above those chambers rows and rows of seats look down on the blood-streaked sands of the arena. Above all those seats at one end of the arena is the head aristo’s box, once posh, gilt, and plush but now a shredded burnt-out wreck. The arena floor is strewn with broken hilts and busted bits of rusted weapons. On the end of the arena opposite the aristo’s box, a colossal statue of the head aristo lies face down, broken and toppled, providing high ground a cunning combatant might use to their advantage, albeit briefly.
