Howdy everyone! First, I'm so glad that I never have to touch this edit again. By far it is the longest that any edit has taken me, mostly because of how long this movie is but also because I had to restart it all over when I switched editing programs.

Love this movie! Batman realizing he needs to be about justice not vengeance through The Riddlers actions is a great story. Also nice too see Batman who hasn't got to the point where he's using Bruce Wayne as an alter ego. I can't wait for The Penguin series they are working on.

This film does have some slight changes to the Batman mythos but there's a solid reason. Matt Reeves pulled a few elements from Batman Earth One a short lived series of comics that tried to create a younger continuity where Hero's were just starting out similar to something like the Marvel Ultimate Universe. In this Batman had a few changes from his mother Martha Wayne being an Arkham rather than a Kane along with having a series of Mental Health issues. Earth One Bruce also didn't travel the world to train like we see in Batman Year One and the Nolan movies along with other media. Instead in Earth One, Alfred Pennyworth trained Bruce with his Royal Marine background. These elements all carry over into this film. And of course Year One and Long Halloween also inspired this film as well, more so Long Halloween. Zero Year inspired this film as well acting as the origin to the New 52 Batman. I do really like the Batsuit in this film, Miles better than the Dark Knight and Dark Knight rises suits that for me leaned away from the Batman aesthetic to make it more "realistic " I guess which is why Batman Begins has my favourite Nolan Batsuit. The overall look of Batman kind of gets lost in those later Nolan suits. But this suit in The Batman maintains the look and feel of Batman but in an early suit. I would love to see less armoured suits in the future as for me the less armoured Batman looks the more deadly he feels. Also would love to see more colour give us some yellows, blues, and greys rather than a full black suit.

The actor playing Riddler is Paul Dano. He was in Steven Spielberg's the Fabelmens last year as well. He's probably best known for his role in There WIll Be Blood opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. He plays a similar creepy character in Denis Villeneuve's Prisoners movie opposite Hugh Jackman (and Jake Gyllenhaal).
