Hey everyone! My MCU journey has officially kicked off now. Enjoy my reaction to watching Iron Man for the first time. 😊

I'm hoping for Early Access to go out sometime on Saturday (tomorrow), but it might be Sunday depending on copyright clearing. The premiere will happen on Monday. 🥳

Cool! Can’t wait to go through the MCU with you. There are ups and downs in this journey but overall entertaining. I really enjoyed this movie so something to look forward to when I get home tonight.

BratPfanneTV

This will be great, looking forward to all this MCU content!

Ayy new hair! Looks dope 😆 This movie is amazingggg, the more I rewatch this movie the more I feel RDJ was born for the iron man role, he embodies it in so many ways lmao. Can’t wait for the next reaction! Also, I’m loving the new thumbnail style, it’s much more eye catching for a passing YT user, as a YouTuber myself I can tell you now that even the smallest colour changes on a thumbnail make a world’s difference.

kaiielle

Thank you on both the hair comments and the thumbnail comments! I appreciate it a lot. Still have a bunch of thumbnails to update, but slowly getting to them!

ah, Tony Stark... An interesting character indeed and portrayed so well. Iron Man was a gamble by Marvel. Because the movie rights to all established Marvel characters (established outside the comic book scene), were held by other studios, they started out with someone that was totally unknown to the general public (I'm not a comic book reader, so had never heard of Iron Man other than the Black Sabbath song by the same name). If this movie and The Incredible Hulk (which I believe they had just recently recovered the rights to) failed, Marvel Studios would probably have been a very short lived venture. Well, basically everything up to the first Avengers movie was a gamble, but this got the ball rolling. Loved the reaction and looking forward the the rest of the MCU journey.

kaiielle

Ultimately it was a gamble that paid off very well in the end! I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction and thank you for sharing that info.

Jeff Bridges is one of my favorite actors. He always plays the best roles. The bodyguard that you recognize is Jon Favreau. He directed this movie and many others. He also voiced Pre Vizsla of the Death Watch in CW. He’s currently in charge of The Mandalorian and other Disney SW content. I think most of us agree that he and Dave Filoni helped save SW after episodes 8 & 9 were such failures. Very cool to see how he builds the first suit and how he becomes iron man. I always thought this was a good start to the Marvel universe. Not a huge fan of IM 2 but this one was good That was Stan Lee making his customary cameo. Good that Marvel went with ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) for the special effects. George Lucas started ILM while making A New Hope. There wasn’t anything happing with SW in 2008 so getting the contract with Marvel really helped keep them afloat.

This is where the fun begins... wait wrong franchise quote. The MCU movies are fun to watch though.

A lot of thought s here. 1) Like the curls. 2) I haven’t watched this movie in some time, thanks for the incentive to rewatch. 3) since most of the series will be on Disney+ I suggest notifying everyone you will use the “skip credits” option as you move forward. 4) The entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as it is now know is fully adapted on pre-existing comic book characters & storylines. Many of which were written by Stan Lee. He will be a constant presence up until his passing. 5) I agree, you smiled a lot. I hope you continue to enjoy your journey.

kaiielle

Thanks for your comment Bryan! I don't think that I will use the skip credits button at all, because not ALL the movies are on D+. It feels like it will be easier for everyone if I just let the credits play out fully as that way you don't have to re-sync your copy just for the ending scene and the timer can stay up as well. It also gives me the opportunity to give you all a sneak peek into my immediate insights upon finishing the film.

So stoked to follow your MCU reactions!

MotoDork

My knowledge of Jeff Bridges came in 1982 with TRON, which is a favorite of mine. I'm very happy to be sliding in to the beginning of your MCU journey. Should be great. And you should watch TRON and TRON: Legacy.

kaiielle

I will keep those in mind. I am not sure if either have been suggested on my form. Also, welcome in!

Jason

This will be great...digging into the great, rich history of the MCU...this will be awesome.

kaiielle

Hi Jason! Thank you for joining the Patreon, I really appreciate it and happy to have you here!

kaiielle

Jason, I didn't realize that you were "Phil Buckhouse" on YouTube. I replied to your comment about my full-length reactions having the movie blurred with the audio gone. In some reactions in the past on YouTube, I mention that people need to have their own copy of the film to watchalong with me, but I didn't say it in the Iron Man reaction due to the fact the intro was already pretty long. I think that my tier descriptions reflect what is being delivered, but if you have feedback for me on how I can improve upon what I've stated in two of my tier descriptions, please let me know. Just as a heads up, the blurring/audio removal is how the majority of other reactors handle their full-length reactions on Patreon. If a reactor is including the entire movie in their full-length reactions, they're taking a huge risk by doing so. It's a risk that I am not willing to take, personally.

Jason

Kaiilelle, sorry I was that way on a public platform like YouTube. I just felt like I was lied to how your videos were being introduced, Even in your Youtube tiers, it didn't state it directly. I understand if it's a risk you don't want to take. But then, you should tell your listeners, in no uncertain terms, that that's a step you will not take. Otherwise, you risk alienating or turning off fans who might enjoy your content. In this instance, me.

Jason

I get if you feel worried or pressured by outside forces. But, tell your watchers and listeners about it first. Otherwise, it doesn't make you look good.

kaiielle

Jason, I have asked you for feedback on how I can improve my tier descriptions. Once again, I will copy and paste exactly what my benefit description says for both the Full-Length Watchalong Reactions and the Exclusive Reactions that I offer here on Patreon: "Grab your own copy of the film or TV episode and sync up along with my full-length reaction to watchalong with me and see my whole reaction, as not everything makes it into the YouTube edits. You must have your own copy to watch along with as I am not able to re-distribute the movie/TV episode in my videos due to copyright laws." Do I need to also state that the movie is blurred and the audio is removed?

James M

Finally got around to watching this with you, and thanks for the great react! Nice decision on letting the credits run through. Future MCU films have multiple post credit scenes and in inconsistent places, so I like how you just talked over as it ran through naturally.

kaiielle

Thanks James! I think that is what I will do moving forward knowing that there are multiple scenes in some future movies.

As a long time reader of Marvel Comics, I felt Ironman/ Tony Stark was so well portrayed by RDJ. In fact, when my roommate and I heard who they had gotten for the role, while others doubted, Sherry and I KNEW he was perfect, as his life mirrored Tony's on so many levels. I just discovered you and joined up on your patreon after only a couple minutes of your YouTube video for this movie. Add you did not disappoint. My advise, watch all of the films. The one-shots are very short so can be watched along the way with ease. The TV series adds to the experience and some sites can give you a listing of when each episode of each series should be played during the film line up, but that is up to you. I look forward to whatever your choices are. Thank you for sharing your journey.

kaiielle

Thanks for joining Patreon, and at a higher tier than you needed to! I appreciate it and hope you enjoy watching all of the things here. The films are a priority, with the necessary TV shows sprinkled in where they need to be. One-shots and other TV shows will be a maybe, for now. Or perhaps Patreon exclusives. Undecided right now!

The Dingo

Fun reaction; I subscribed solely to watch your reactions to the MCU. I'm looking forward to watching along with you on your journey!

kaiielle

Hi Jeremy, welcome in! I replied on Patreon Mobile but looks like the comment didn't hold. Happy to have you here and glad you enjoyed it!

Tony Marsh

The journey has begun. Can’t wait to take it with you. I was never really into marvel originally but I got sucked by Captain America 2. no spoilers obviously. However there are a couple early MCU films that I haven’t seen so I look forward to sharing those reactions with you.
