What an arc! A really well written arc to wrap up Season 5 with and I can't believe we still have two seasons to go! This one really hit hard, but is a great setup for what's to come (including Revenge of the Sith). Forever grateful that people decided to expand on The Clone Wars years in between Eps II and III and bring us this entertainment to enhance the films! I've been patiently waiting to do my second watch of RotS until the show is over. It's gonna be a whole different experience (and I will be recording it).

The Ahsoka Arc consists of the following episodes:

  • Season 05, Episode 17: Sabotage
  • Season 05, Episode 18: The Jedi Who Knew Too Much
  • Season 05, Episode 19: To Catch a Jedi
  • Season 05, Episode 20: The Wrong Jedi

Please grab a copy of the episodes on your end to watchalong with me. Here is the direct link to the watchalong. I watch The Clone Wars through Disney+ with a valid subscription.

IMPORTANT: I beg you to PLEASE refrain from sharing if this is our last time seeing Ahsoka or if she re-appears in some way in S6 or 7 (or both). I have no idea and would like to find out for myself. Edit: I know there is an arc coming up called "Ahsoka's Walkout" so it is likely we do see her again, but I'd rather find out for myself! I say this because I've already been told about Ventress (that this is the last time we see her) and I do NOT want to know the same for Ahsoka. I'm aware of the Dark Disciple novel that continues Ventress' story and am adding it to the never-ending Star Wars to-do list. I am not sure when I will get around to digesting that information, but I'm in no rush at the moment.

I also have some follow-up thoughts after watching this arc that I didn't record and put in the video because I thought of them while the video was exporting. Literally been thinking about this arc and reflecting on it since I stopped watching:

  • I was upset with what Barris did, but recalling the speech she made about her reason why she did what she did, her speech was completely true. And it's possible that Ahsoka agreed and ultimately why she decided not to return.
  • Reflecting on the Council chat with Ahsoka, I think everyone did feel remorseful in some way, especially Plo Koon, even though I'm still upset that he didn't have the same passion about this as Anakin. The only one who was a true asshole about it was Windu. And it has drastically worsened how I see him.
  • Ahsoka's "I know" towards Anakin, to me, was not only in reference to his relationship with Padme, but also about his whole upbringing. His slave past, being taken into the Jedi as a 9-year-old. He has good reasons to do what she did too.
  • I still think Palpatine is at play here somehow, because getting Anakin all to himself is obviously his end goal.
  • There may have been some frustrations and minor distrust at times before with the Council, but this is absolutely the first big kickstart to the downfall. It's gonna be a wild ride.

As always, please leave your comments below or in Discord. Excited to read them. Just please keep details of the future seasons at bay. Y'all see how fun it is watching me have no clue what's coming, so would love to keep it that way!

For the best watchalong experience, I strongly recommend watching on your computer and using Firefox's Picture-in-Picture feature. With this feature, you would make my reaction video full-screen and pop-out your copy of the episode so that it sits over my video. Move it right over my blurred episode in my video and re-size to your liking. 😊
