Hello everyone! Here is the uncut reaction to The Dark Knight! As always, you'll need your own copy of the film to sync along with this one. Early access to the edited version will be published a bit later this afternoon for those of you that have access to that benefit. Just wrapping up the editing on that one and praying that copyright won't be a hassle this time around.

Please grab a copy of the movie on your end to watchalong with me. Here is the direct link to my watchalong with the option to download it for offline viewing. I watched The Dark Knight through the Google Play store as it was not available on any streaming services that I am currently subscribed to.

Enjoy the watch and let me know your thoughts!

For the best watchalong experience, I strongly recommend watching on your computer and using Firefox's Picture-in-Picture feature. With this feature, you would make my reaction video full-screen and pop-out your copy of the movie so that it sits over my video. Move it right over my blurred movie in my video and re-size to your liking. 😊

Really do love this film remember watching the trailer in 2008 at a friend’s house when we were only 8 years old while we waited for the movie to come out in July 2008. That same year we even went to a Halloween party dressed up as Joker and Batman, so did a lot of people lol David Goyer who wrote the screenplay stated “For me, there are three major comic book influences within the Batman lore. There’s Year One, the Neal Adams stuff, and there is The Long Halloween. But by the time The Dark Knight comes out, it will become apparent that Long Halloween is the preeminent influence on both movies.” I'll not go into the details of Long Halloween as the comic is good there's even a solid Animated film with two parts based on the comic of the same name. From a visual Standpoint I'm not a big fan of Gotham itself feels much more like Chicago (Filmed in Chicago) than Gotham City something I find really distracting as the whole atmosphere of Gotham is missing as Chicago doesn't have much gothic architecture, has a more Art Deco aesthetic. I've been to Chicago, so I always pretend "Ah okay this looks like Chicago but just pretend it's Gotham” while with Begins and other films I didn't have to pretend as the city looked like Gotham City if that makes sense. I much prefer Batman Begins in this area even though I prefer The Dark Knight as a film. This is more of a personal thing I know people who didn't mind this Gotham as it was their first introduction to the city while others prefer Begins or after medium of Batman. Overall, an amazing film and still one of the best Superhero movies to date even if the series is more grounded compared to your typical Batman stuff. Mask of the Phantasm is still my favourite theatrical released Batman film along with The Lego Batman Movie a love letter to all things Batman a film I heavily recommend checking out after you’ve seen the Nolan movies and at least Batman 89 and Returns as the film may make references to other movies from different Batman movies. Onto Dark Knight Rises, know a lot of people have this as their favorites can't wait to see your reaction to how the trilogy ends. Side note but if you want a deeper look at these characters I highly recommend the Arkham Games one of the best renditions of the Bat verse just behind The Animated Series.

Every time I watch this movie, it kind of hurts. Heath Ledger makes this movie, the performance is amazing and it’s painful he didn’t live to see it or the impact he made. He will eternally be the iconic version of the Joker. The movie is a classic. It’s a line of demarcation - everything before in comic book movies is prologue. Everything that has come since has to measure up. It’s the best Batman movie of the best Batman series. And damn, aren’t we lucky to have seen a world do influenced and changed by it?
