2021 Reflection & 2022 Goals (Patreon)

Two posts on Patreon in one day, who am I?! Productive, that's who. 😏

It took me a while to sit down and do this, but I knew it would be important for me to get this all out, and I wanted to share with you all! I did just post a tweet, but the tweet was left basic and does not go into a ton of details. 

Breaking down the numbers like this was really eye-opening for me. It showed me that this year, people valued my stream for lurking. I'll admit that there's been a few streams where I have struggled with the lack of chat activity going on, and I knew that going over the numbers YoY would show me that chatting had dropped a lot. But taking this and comparing it with an increase in viewership, an increase in watch time, and increase in paid subs, not to mention the fact that I streamed less overall... I'm very happy with this. And I definitely want to lean into the lurkability of my streams a lot more in 2022.

These are the trackable goals I've set for this year, that I plan on coming back to every week to update the "on track" and "feeling" columns. My biggest focus is Discord. I really want to prioritize this in 2022, not just with general posting but hangouts as well. I also want to be more active on socials, in general. I'm also very excited about the Star Wars movie reactions videos that I'm going to be making starting next week.

I haven't included any personal goals in this post, because they're personal. But they do include things like reading, meditation, going for walks, etc.

Last, we have milestones (or targets). This does not have a year attached to them because I don't want to be disappointed by a number goal falling short at the end of 2022. I prefer to move away from numbers based goals in general, when it is largely out of my control. However, it is still nice to track growth. The only thing in this list that I would like to actually try and hit is YouTube Partner, mostly so that my videos can start being monetized. I am really excited for this year and the direction that I want to go in. I'm stoked to have you all along for the ride. I really hope you find a lot of value in these posts and all the sharing I'm doing. I really like communicating it all to a smaller group. 💜
